Description
This park is considered the second largest and most undisturbed area in the Terai after Chitwan national Park. It is thickly forested by Sal trees, and is carpeted with grass, savannah and riverine forest. It is a habitat for endangered species like the rhinoceros, wild elephant, tiger, swamp deer, black buck, gharial, crocodile and endangered birds include the Bengal florican, lesser florican, silver-eared mesia and sarus crane.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel. Same day we will take you a half day tour around Kathmandu Valley, visiting different monuments which are listed in UNESCO world heritage sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa. Return to hotel and rest.
Day 02: Drop you to Kathmandu domestic airport for flight to Nepalgunj. After 55 minutes of flight,arrival in Nepalgunj Airport and drive to Bardia National Park(1hr),arrive at resort and welcome by the resort manager. Check in resort and refresh. Briefing about the Jungle activities, visit to Tharu village and National Park's visitors' center,Tharu dancing programs in the evening or slides-show on wildlife Overnight in resort.
Day 03: Wake up call, Morning Tea / Coffee, Bird Watching / Elephant Safari / Jungle Walk,Breakfast, Visit to Observation Tower / Canoe Ride / Nature Walk, Elephant Briefing Lunch, Observe Elephant Bathing, Afternoon Tea / Coffee, Canoe Ride / Elephant Safari / Jungle Drive, observe sunset view from the riverbank, Dinner and overnight in resort
Day 04: Morning free for packing, Breakfast and departure for onward destination either boarder of India or fly back to Kathmandu.

Weather
Summer lasting from February through May is intensely hot with minimal precipitation. Maximum temperature can reach up to 38C. The monsoon begins from late May or early June with frequent and violent thunderstorms. Rainfall is high during July but high humidity and temperatures are experienced throughout the season. Winter lasts from October through January with unclouded skies and moderate temperatures.
