Description

Langtang Ganja la pass trekking begins at Dhunche after 7 hours bus drive and the trek ends at Melamchi Bazar. Kyanching Gompa is surrounded by Mt Langtang Lirung (7245m ) on the west, Yala peak on the north, Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Urkeinmang (6387m), Loenpo Gang (6979) and Kangchenpo on the north-east. In Kyanjing Gompa there are a small Buddhist monastery and a cheese factory which was started in 1955 by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance (SATA). So, while you are crossing the pass, you are rewarded with the Panoramic views of Langtang, Lirung and the Tibetan peaks beyond. Leaving the Ganjala Pass, the trail takes you to Melamchi gaun and Tarke Ghyang. It is generally open from autumn and Spring Season, but unusual weather can be change its condition at any time. The beautiful panoramic mountain scenery can be seen in this trekking.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1334m) transfer to hotel and welcome drink.
Day 02: Kathmandu Drive to Dhunche by Bus (1966 m).
Day 03: Dhunche to Syabrugaon (2230m)
Day 04: Shyabrugaun to Lama Hotel (2470m)
Day 05: Lama hotel to Ghora Tabela (3010m)
Day 06: Acclimatization at Langtang Village
Day 07: Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (4060m)
Day 08: Excursion to Tsergo Ri (5033m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa
Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa to Gangtsa La Phedi (4300m)
Day 10: Gangtsa to Keldang (4250m) crossing over Ganja La pass (5122m)
Day 11: Ganja la base camp to Yak Kharka (4000m)
Day 12: Yamjela Ri to Amjela Ri (3560m)
Day 13: Yak Kharka to Tarkeghyang (2530m )
Day 14: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2550m)
Day 15: Sermathang to Melamchi Bazar
Day 16: Melamchi Bazar to Kathmandu return by bus.
Day 17: Kathmandu valley sightseeing with different shrines and heritage sites.
