Tsum Valley Trek
Description
Tsum valley trekking is a newly opened trekking route in the north of trans Himalayan region of Gorkha. It is surrounded by Ganesh Himal and Manaslu peaks. The Tsum Valley's affinity with Tibet, natural beauty and its pristine Tibetan culture make this region worth exploring. The word Tsum is derived from Tibetan word 'Tsombo', which means clear. Against the majestic backdrop of the Ganesh, Sringi and Baudha Himalayan ranges, this serene valley is rich in ancient art, culture, and religion. The local people are descendant of Tibet and speak a unique dialect. The trails to Tsum valley are strewn with artistic chortens and lined with mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with deities and prayers. Due to its remoteness and inaccessibility, this Tsum valley and its people have been lagging behind in the overall development for centuries. This is why the unique culture of this valley has still remained intact. In this newly open beautiful trek we take you to explore the Tsum Valley and to the rarely visited Mu Gompa and up to the Tibetan border.
