Description

Gokyo Ri over Cho La pass, Everest base camp with gokyo kalapathar trekking is most popular and challenging trekking in Everest region. Gokyo Ri, Kalapathar and Everest base camp trekking ultimate challenge is the trek across Cho La Pass 5,420m, Everest base camp, Gokyo Ri which takes bit of long journeys and covers both the Gokyo Lake Valley and the Everest Base Camp. There are some short and interesting "climbs" of Gokyo Ri, Chukkung Ri and Kalapathar for the classic views of ice falls and glaciers of Mahalangur Himalayan range which comprises of five major 8000 m. mountains - Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse and Makalu. After a magnificent mountain flight to Lukla we follow the Dudh Kosi valley to Namche Bazaar. The trail to Gokyo Lake is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements we reach the Gokyo lakes where you will climb the Gokyo Peak 5350 and enjoy stunning summit mountain scenery including Everest, Makalu and Cho Oyo.

The views of Ama Dablam and Taweche are spectacular near by Lobuche. After the Zhongla ascent, we continue towards Gorak Shep and climb to Kala Pattar 5545m from where you will enjoy an impressive up-close view of Everest. your return route passes through Tengboche, a magnificent location with a fascinating monastery, where you will rest and savor the incredible scenery, including magnificent views of Everest, Ama Dablam 6856m, Kantega 6809m, Kwangde 6194m, Nuptse 7879m, Lhotse 8516m and many more. For Gokyo Ri, Kalapathar and Everest base camp trekking, you are able to arrange trip whether by bus from Jiri or by fly Kathmandu to Lukla

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu (1,334m), transfer to hotel and welcome Drink.
Day 02: Katmandu by flight to Lukla and overnight at Phakding (2,830m).
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,480m).
Day 04: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization. (Hike to Thame for Himalayan scenery, visit Monastery & wildlife animals)
Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3,890m)
Day 06: Tyangboche to Pheriche (4,250m)
Day 07: Pheriche to Lobuche (4,910m)
Day 08: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,180m) and continue to Everest base camp
(5,500m) and overnight at Gorakshep.
Day 09: Gorakshep early in the morning hike to Kalapathar (5,545m) for best Himalayan views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku etc. and overnight at Lobuche (4,930 m )
Day 10: Lobuche to Dzongla (4,800m).
Day 11: Dzongla to Chola-Pass to Thang Na (4,850 m)
Day 12: Thang Na to Gokyo Lake (4,750 m)
Day 13: Gokyo lake to early in the morning Gokyo Ri (5,350m) for Best Himalayan views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Cho Oyo, Amadablam, Thamserku, Makalu etc. and back to Gokyo lake and continue to Machhermo and stay over night.(4,400 m)
Day 14: Machhermo to Dole (4,000 m)
Day 15: Dole to Namche Bazaar (3,480 m )
Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2,630 m )
Day 17: Phakding to Lukla
Day 18: Lukla by Flight back to Kathmandu and leisure
Day 19: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing with different shrines and heritage sites.
